Graydon, Managing Director, Immediate Medical

Graydon Norton

Intermediate Life Support Medic (ILS)

Graydon is our Managing Director and started Immediate Medical in 2013. Since then he has grown the brand to the Immediate Group which includes, Immediate Health, Immediate Events and Immediate Medical Assist.

Graydon has more than two decades worth of experience in the emergency medical sector. He started his journey as a first aider at age 13 working with Medi Sport in Zimbabwe.

Moving to South Africa, Graydon, qualified as an Intermediate Life Support Medic and joined Netcare911. It was here where his passion for flying developed and he was awarded the Vodacom/Netcare911 flight medic of the year for both 2007 and 2008.

In 2013 Graydon set out to realise his vision, to create an ambulance service that is reliable, professional, patient centered and efficient. With this Immediate Medical was born. 

Graydon is a qualified and registered Intermediate Life Support Medic, on the Executive Board for SAPAESA, a Private Pilot, and a loving husband and father.

Janke Jooste

Emergency Care Practitioner ( ECP)

Janke is our Regional Manager and has been with the company since 2021.

Janke obtained her Bachelor of Emergency Medical Care through the Cape Peninsula University of Technology in 2020 and registered as an ECP in 2021.

“I always knew I would follow a career in medicine but never pictured myself following this path”

She fell in love with the EMS when she realised what a difference she can make and what being an ECP truly means.

When she is not busy saving lives she can be found cooking, completing DIY projects and spending time with loved ones.

Andren Demas

Basic Life Support Medic (BLS)

Andren is our Fleet and has been with the company since 2018.

Andren is remarkable at taking care of our vehicles and making sure our crew and patients are safe on the road.

He is a qualified Basic Ambulance Assistant (BAA) and obtained this qualification through Ambutek in 2015.

Andren has been in the EMS for 11 years where he spent 2 years as a full - time volunteer at Metro EMS.

“I chose this profession because I was in an accident a couple of years before, the sound of the siren calmed me as I knew that help was on the way. I chose to be a BAA, because it means that I can be the hope for others.”

Yolanda De Morney

Basic Life Support Medic (BLS)

Yolanda is our Emergency Operations Centre (EOC) Manager and has been with the company since 2016.

Yolanda has extensive experience working with patients on the road. She has a great talent for organisation, logistics and quick thinking which led her to become a dispatcher.

Yolanda has grown with the company over the years and took the official lead in the dispatching department in 2020.
